Small Painted Turtle made from digital photo from 1 generation digital camera. It took near 300 hours of editing as I made this at the beginning of my path with image editing, around 2002.

This Galapagos Fur Seal was sleeping with its friends on a volcanic island in the Galapagos.
Galapagos Fur Seals are very inquisitive and was within an arm's length with me while I was snorkeling in 2014.
Here is a Galapagos Fur Seal on a volcanic beach, keeping guard as friends are napping. Notice the way I bring out the essence of this animal through the use of texture, that gives the feeling of "hair" even on the rocks!
A small, low resolution digital picture of this lion fish in a small tank at the Norwalk Aquarium was used as the raw material for this interpretive image.
This Galapagos Fur Seal was resting on the beach where we were exploring - watching, but not moving...
